uMgungundlovu District

LiveSure, through its affiliate InovaSure, has concluded a Heads of Terms (“HoT”) for a Power  Purchase Agreement of approximately 250MW to 500MW baseload (equal to approximately  1000MW of PV+BESS) with the uMgungundlovu Economic Development Agency (UMEDA)  which has the mandate to act on behalf of the District Municipality, as well as the 7 Local Municipalities within the District.

This HoT was preceded by many years of procurement processes and public participation and a  Memorandum of Agreement (“MOA”) was concluded allowing for the provision of Energy  Security to the District by InovaSure and its collaborators. A War Room Committee has been set  with all key stakeholders and the process to finalise the PPA is underway.

Over the past three years, Zenergy Green and InovaMedia/Inovasure have collaborated to bring this project to life. They have signed a joint venture to bring as much megawatts and infrastructure to the country as possible. We are working on various sites in development, collaborating with partners and introducing new technology to ensure we can deliver a 24/7 green baseload. This will support the decarbonisation of the district and enable us to connect neighbouring districts into the network.
